When you are quiet, whatever is going on deep within has an opportunity to be felt, remembered and processed. When there are things that you are dealing with, quiet times can be both needed and hard to endure.

Maybe you avoid quiet times for this very reason. You keep busy. For distraction and to enable you to appear to be functioning. A pretence that only hurts you in the long run. If quiet times are hard for you then this is a sure sign that you need some tlc. Something is still hurting and needs to come to the surface.
